MAMP PRO 3.xx to 4.xx Upgrade
When upgrading to MAMP PRO 4 your existing “C:\MAMP\htdocs" folder will be preserved if you are installing over a previous installation. Your existing “C:\Users\Public\Documents\Appsolute\MAMPPRO\db" folder will be preserved by default. This folder contains your database data.
Note: You can only upgrade from MAMP PRO 3.3.0 or later to MAMP PRO 4.
- Download MAMP PRO from www.mamp.info/en/downloads/.
- Double click on the MAMP_MAMP_PRO_X.XX.exe file in your Downloads folder.
- The System Installer will guide you through the installation process.
Database Data
Your existing “C:\Users\Public\Documents\Appsolute\MAMPPRO\db" folder will be preserved by default. You can delete your database data to make a completely clean install of MAMP PRO 4. This action is not reverseable.
Apple Bonjour
By default, Apple Bonjour will be installed when you install MAMP PRO. You will not have access to your hosts from the MAMP Viewer if you choose not to install Apple Bonjour.
